NFL Conference Championship Odds – A Look at the Opening Lines and Spreads in the AFC and NFC Championships

The conference matchups are all set for the NFL games to be played next Sunday, with the Cincinnati Bengals to visit the Kansas City Chiefs and the Rams to face off with the San Francisco 49ers at home in Los Angeles.

The Chiefs passed through the Buffalo Bills with a 42-36 victory on Sunday night in the divisional playoffs. The Bengals had to go through the top-seeded Tennessee Titans and ground out a 19-16 win on Saturday.

Despite being on some great form, the Bengals are a big underdog to come out on top against the Chiefs, with online sportsbooks having the Cincinnati team listed as heavy favorites. These odds won’t come as a shock, with the Chiefs claiming a 34-31 victory the last time they met on January 2, 2022, and have won 10 of their last 11 games in total.

Pregame Info: Bengals vs Chiefs

The Bengals have been on quite the run as the underdogs, winning five of their last six games. That still doesn’t stop them from sitting on the longest odds of any team remaining to win the Super Bowl, with various sportsbooks having them anywhere between +700 and +800.

The Bengals victory against the Titans was quite the rollercoaster ride, with the victory coming from Evan McPherson’s 52-yard field goal as time expired. The rookie kicker scored four field goals during the game, two of which came from the three interceptions made on Ryan Tannehill.

Logan Wilson picked off Tannehill for 20 seconds remaining on the clock at the Cincinnati 47. Joe Burrow would set up the rookie receiver Ja’Marr Chase with a 19-yard pass with the Bengals running twice to set up McPherson.

As for the Chiefs form they would need Patrick Mahomes to find Travis Kelce in the corner of the end zone early in overtime, completing an 8-yard touchdown pass to bring them victory.

The lead would change three times in the last few minutes of regulation time in this closely contested match-up against the Bills. Kansas City’s Harrison Butker would force overtime with a 49-yard kick in the closing seconds.

Whilst the 49ers road has included their a huge upset at Green Bay against the number one seed, with a 13-10 upset.

The last time this pair of teams met, it was a close game, with the 49ers coming out on top with a 27-24 victory on the road at the SoFi stadium. Despite the recent match-up ending with a win for the 49ers, the bookmakers have the Rams as a sizeable favorite in this Golden State game.

Pregame Info: 49ers vs Rams

The pairing’s most recent match-up ended with a win for the 49ers in early January and the previous six games against the Rams all ended in victory. Despite this, the bookmakers have the Rams as a sizeable favorite in this Golden State game.

The 49ers who have now gone 4-0 against the Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the playoffs, would score 10 points that would go unanswered by the top-seeded Green Bay team.

The kick-off is set for 3:30 pm PT Sunday, with the winner getting a ticket to the SoFi Stadium for Super Bowl LVI on Sunday, February 13.
