Tennessee Titans host the Buffalo Bills in the last game of NFL Week 6. The Bills are now 4-1 after an impressive 20-38 win over the Kansas City Chiefs last week. The Titans, however, smashed the Jacksonville Jaguars 37-19 in Week 5 to record their third win of the season. The AFC South leaders will now face the AFC East leaders in the NFL Week 6 edition of Monday Night Football. Bills Are the Favorites
After dismantling the Kansas City Chiefs 20-38, the Buffalo Bills look like the team to beat in the AFC. Unsurprisingly, online sportsbooks have made the Bills +275 favorites to get the win over the Titans that will cement their hold on the division.
The Bills’ defense is looking more and more impressive with each game. Buffalo has a top-3 squad in almost every relevant defensive metric. The solid defense provides ample cover for the Bills’ primary offensive weapon: their ground attack. This approach lets quarterback Josh Allen get creative on the ground.
The only possible weak element coming into this football game is running back Devin Singletary. He put on a poor display against the Chiefs with just six rushes for 25 yards and one catch for -2 yards – it was his worst statistical showing of 2021. To get a resounding win over the Titans, the Bills will need to him be versatile. Therefore, expect him to see a lot of usages.
Season of Ups and Downs for Titans
This season has been full of highs and lows for the Tennesse Titans. They suffered a first-game blowout loss to the Arizona Cardinals before proceeding to win their next two. However, fans thinking that the first game was just a blip were left scratching their heads after losing to the New York Jets 27-24 on the road in Week 4. After this shock loss, the Titans picked themselves up to crush the Jacksonville Jaguars 19-37 last week. This win means that the Titans already have a two-game lead in the AFC South.
Although the Tennesee team looked impressive in Week 5, an injury to Derrick Henry could change everything. Saying that the Titans rely on Henry is an understatement. The running back has an average of 31.25 rushes per game, and he leads the league with 142 touches on the ground. To put these stats into perspective, the second-place player, Alvin Kamara, is way behind Henry’s record with 94 carries on the year and is one of only four players in the league with more than 80 rushes. These stats show that Henry is used almost twice as much as the average starting running back in the NFL. Therefore, if anything happens to the Floridian, it will surely change the Titan’s futures odds on winning the AFC South division.
