Champion Jan Blachowicz (28-8-0) takes on challenger Glover “The Brazilian Pit Bull” Teixeira (32-7-0) in a light heavyweight title fight at UFC267 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, 30 October.

Blachowicz vs Teixeira Odds
In the UFC Fight Result betting odds, Blachowicz can be backed at odds of –300 with online sportsbook Bovada, with Teixeira on offer at odds of +235. Provided Blachowicz is able to keep the fight on the feet, he should be able to control this fight and looks the likelier to secure a victory.

The 38-year-old Polish champion is on a five-fight winning streak and has lost just one of his last 10 bouts (a KO defeat to Thiago Santos in 2019).
He’s beaten the likes of Corey Anderson, Dominick Reyes and Jacare Souza on his way to claiming the UFC light heavyweight title, which was vacated by Jon Jones. His last victory was an impressive unanimous decision win over UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in March.
In total, 17 of Blachowicz’s 28 career wins have been via stoppages, with eight knockouts and nine submissions.
He’s lost just once in his last 10 bouts, a knockout loss to Thiago Santos in 2019. In that run he has beaten fighters like Corey Anderson and Jacare Souza before defeating Dominick Reyes to claim the light heavyweight title, which had been vacated by Jon Jones.
Blachowicz is renowned as an intelligent fighter who knows how to avoid danger, but is himself a powerful puncher with excellent boxing skills and dangerous body kicks. He also showed against Adesanya that he had improved his ground game too.
Glover Teixeira Odds
This will be the 41-year-old Brazilian second title bid, with Teixeira having been beaten via a unanimous decision by Jon Jones in 2014.
Teixeira is himself on a five-fight winning streak, with his last win coming via a 3rd round submission against Thiago Santos in November last year. Teixeira certainly has every reason to believe that he can win this bout. He is also a more accomplished grappler than Blachowicz.
The Brazilian has tremendous boxing skills, with 18 knockouts to nine submissions in his career.
There are quite a few similarities between these two fighters, but Blachowicz looks to have an edge with his superior speed and a very effective jab.
Petr Yan vs Cory Sandhagen
Also on the card is an interim UFC bantamweight title bout between Petr “No Mercy” Yan (15-2-0) and Cory “The Sandman” Sandhagen (14-3-0).
Current bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling is on the sidelines following neck surgery, but this is still seen as a controversial title bout as Sandhagen lost his last fight to former bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw.
Many fans believed that Sandhagen deserved to win that fight, but Dillashaw claimed it on a split decision. Dillashaw is currently out with a knee injury anyway.
With another potential contender in Rob Font only recently recovered from COVID-19, Sandhagen got the nod for this fight.
Yan v Sandhagen Odds
The Fight Result betting with Bovada sees Yan as the favorite at –250, with Sandhagen available at odds of +200.
Both Yan and Sandhagen are powerful strikers, with Yan being famed for his brutal power-striking combinations that can cause some serious damage. He also has an excellent cardio, great takedown defense and an ability to absorb shots.

The 28-year-old Russian, Yan, was last in action on March this year when he lost to Aljamain Sterling after being disqualified in the 4th round for an illegal knee.
Corey Sandhagen Odds
The 29-year-old American has a 4-inch height and 3-inch reach advantage over Yan. “The Sandman” usually looks to use his range advantage to punish opponents with long-range strikes, with particular emphasis on his kicks.
That might work against most opponents, but Yan is a fighter that will keep coming forward and will be relentless in his pursuit of Sandhagen around the Octagon. It makes the Russian a difficult fighter to oppose when looking at predicting a winner for this bout.
