Rob Font (19-4-0) takes on Jose “Junior” Aldo (30-7-0) in a UFC Bantamweight clash that will serve as the main event at the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, 4 December.

At present the Bantamweight division is waiting for the return of champion Aljamain Sterling from neck surgery. Sterling and Yan have yet to unify the 135-pound titles and ex-champion TJ Dillashaw is also in line for another shot at the title.

The winner of this fight will raise their status as a title contender, although they are unlikely to get a chance to fight for the belt anytime soon. Other fights on the card features Brad Riddell vs Rafael Fiziev and Clay Guida vs Leonardo Santos.

Rob Font vs Jose Aldo Odds

The Fight Result odds with US offshore sportsbook Bovada sees Rob Font as a marginal favorite at odds of –150, while those anticipating a win for the Brazilian can back their man at +125.

Font looks to have enough in his skillset to justify those betting odds and put himself a step closer to a title fight, but Aldo is definitely still a threat who is more than capable of causing a minor upset in Vegas.

Rob Font

The 34-year-old American is currently on a four-fight winning streak, with his last victory coming via a unanimous decision win over former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt in May.

Font will be looking to his jab to attempt to frustrate Aldo in his attempts to use leg kicks and punches. This could be crucial in Font’s bid to win the bout, as he will want to keep the fight standing if possible.

Jose Aldo

The 35-year-old Brazilian was the first UFC featherweight champion and held the title for six years as he took it from WEC into the UFC. Aldo was last in action in August this year, when he beat Pedro Munhoz via unanimous decision. It followed another unanimous decision win over Marlon Vera in December 2020.

Before that, Aldo lost out to Petr Yan on a 5th round TKO for the vacant Bantamweight title in July 2020. That defeat was a third straight loss in what was a mini streak of disappointing results for Aldo.
