Jairzinho Rozenstruik
Having won his first 10 fights, including nine by KO, Rozenstruik has lost two of his last three bouts.
The 33-year-old Suriname was ruthlessly put away in just 20 seconds by Francis Ngannou in May 2020 but returned to winning ways beating former champion Junior dos Santos via a second round TKO in August last year. He then lost out in February on a unanimous decision to Ciryl Gane in a fight that was lacking in any real excitement.
With regards to key fighting skills in the octagon, Rozenstruik is renowned as an extremely powerful puncher and is an accomplished kick-boxer.
Augusto Sakai
Sakai saw a four-fight winning streak in UFC ended when he lost to Alistair Overeem to a fifth round stoppage in September last year.
Prior to that, the 30-year-old Brazilian of Japanese roots had beaten both Chase Sherman and Marcin Tybura by KOs and, somewhat less convincingly, both former champion Andrei Arlovski and Blagoy Ivanov on split decisions that he could easily have lost.
As is the case with his opponent, Sakai is also known as a strong puncher, although not as powerful as Rozenstruik.
Where Sakai does have a slight advantage is in his wrestling ability, which is a little better than that of his rival. The defeat to Overeem (who is now 41-years-old) was a big blow for Sakai and exposed his limitations.
Rozenstruik vs Saka Betting Odds
In the Fight Result betting, Rozenstruik is the marginal favorite at odds of -120, with Sakai at +100.
Rozenstruik’s punching power (he has knocked out two ex-UFC champions) coupled with the fact that he has generally fought higher caliber opponents than Sakai, makes “Bigi Boy” the tip to win in this fight.
Harris vs Tybura Preview
Also on the card, is another heavyweight bout between Walt “The Big Ticket” Harris (13-9-0) and Marcin “Tybur” Tybura (21-6-0).
The 37-year-old American southpaw Walt Harris is coming into this fight after back-to-back losses to the veteran Dutch fighter Alistair Overeem and the Russian Alexander Volkov.
By contrast, the 35-year-old Polish fighter Marcin Tybura is on a four-fight winning streak, having defeated Sergey Spivak, Maxim Grishin and Ben Rothwell (all by unanimous decision= and then Greg Hardy with a second round KO.
