The latest UFC event took place last night – UFC 258 (February 13, 2021) At Apex Las vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The big focus of the event was the fight between “The Nigerian Nightmare” Kamaru Usman , 33 – looking to defend his welterweight title, and his former training partner Gilbert Burns, 34 in the 170 pound division.

The main card fight started with Usman getting stunned by Burns early on, and recovering superbly to claim a third-round Technical Knockout (TKO) win, after a flurry of head shots – landing 13 of 17 on Burns who had no attempted head-shots in the final round, and landed only two significant strikes in the round compared to Usman’s 13 successful strikes.

Usman is on a record-setting win-streak, having won all of his thirteen UFC fights – surpassing Georges St-Pierre for the longest win streak in UFC welterweight.

The victory by Usman’s ended Burns’ six-fight winning streak, and extended his own streak to 17 consecutive fights improving his MMA career record to 18-1.
