Uriah “Prime Time” Hall (17-9-0) and Sean “Tarzan” Strickland (23-3-0) meet in a middleweight showdown that’s the main event at UFC Fight Night at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Hall vs Strickland Odds
Although Hall is currently the No. 8 ranked fighter in the middleweight division, it is the No. 11 ranked Strickland who comes to Las Vegas as the moderate favorite to win the fight with the sportsbook Bovada.
The Fight Result betting lines sees Strickland available at odds of –215, with Hall on offer at +170.
The 37-year-old Hall (it’s his birthday on the day of the fight) comes into this fight on the back of four straight wins, which is the longest winning streak of his UFC career. He’s beaten Bevon Lewis, Antonio Carlos Junior, Anderson Silva and, in April this year, Chris Weidman in that run, with only Antonio Junior taking him the distance.
- Uriah Hall – The Jamaican has a kickboxing background and he has a solid takedown defense, which is just as well as he does struggle on the mat. The veteran’s 17 career wins has included 13 by KO/TKO, one by submission and three by decision. Four of his nine losses have come via KO/TKO, with the remaining five via decision.
- Sean Strickland – Strickland is also on a four-fight winning streak, having rebounded well after a motorcycle accident nearly three years ago. In his most recent fight in May this year, the 30-year-old from Riverside, California secured a win over Krzysztof Jotko via a unanimous decision, to take his record at middleweight to 5-0. Before that, Strickland had an impressive TKO win over Brendan Allen in which he showed some improved striking.

Strickland is regarded as a very technical fighter, but he’s not the quickest. His 23 wins to date have come by 10 KO/TKOs, four submissions and nine decisions.
The winner of this bout will be able to move a step closer to having a title shot, so there’s plenty at stake in this fight.

Also on the UFC Vegas 33 card is a women’s strawweight fight between Gloria “Glorinha” de Paula (5-3-0) and Cheyanne “The Warrior Princess” Buys (5-2-0).
De Paula vs Buys Odds
Buys is the favorite with Bovada Sportsbook in Fight Result betting odds at –185, with De Paula on offer at odds of +150.
Gloria De Paula comes into the octagon having lost her last fight in March via unanimous decision against Jinh Yu Frey of the USA. The 26-year-old Brazilian has a height and reach advantage over her opponent and has a good mix of leg and body kicks.
Cheyanne Buys – The 26-year-old American Buys also lost her last fight in March via unanimous decision, in her case going down to the Mexican Montserrat Ruiz.
This looks an evenly matched bout between two fighters who are both good strikers, but less impressive at the wrestling side of the sport.
