Rob Font vs. Marlon Vera – UFC Fight Odds

Rob Font seemed unstoppable when he was on his four-fight win streak, but things changed when he met Jose Aldo inside the Octagon in December. Font went the distance against the same former featherweight champion but lost via decision.

Rob Font is the slight favorite when looking at the odds, but this will be a relatively even fight. Both fighters stand at 5 ‘8 and have a similar reach.

Although the Massachusetts native is older (34), he has less experience. The former CES (Classic Entertainment & Sports) featherweight champion is an impressive striker; he lands an average of 5.64 significant strikes per minute.

Marlon Vera has managed to come out on top from three of his last four bouts – two of which were by knockout. The last time he was inside the Octagon, he finished off Frankie Edgar with an impressive front kick.

This five-round main event between two fighters on the verge of breaking into the top five promises to be a fascinating watch.

Like Font, Vera too couldn’t pass Jose Aldo. He fought the former champion back in December 2020, but that seems to be one of the only roadblocks he has faced while being a featherweight. The 29-year-old has plowed through the likes of Sean O’Malley and Andre Ewell on his route to the top of the division, winning a total of eight out of ten bouts.

The Ecuadorian is the younger of the pair, has five more professional fights to his name, and has plenty of knockouts and submission wins on his record. This five-round main event between two fighters on the verge of breaking into the top five promises to be a fascinating watch.

Jake Collier vs. Andrei Arlovski – UFC Fight Odds

This matchup of closely-ranked heavyweights will be a captivating watch.. Jake Collier was booked to fight with Justin Tafa, but his opponent withdrew, and Arlovski stepped in with a few weeks’ notice.

Collier last met Chase Sherman in January, where he carved out a win with a first-round rear-naked choke submission.

“The Prototype” has been on a rollercoaster ride since joining the UFC back in 2014. He has alternative wins and losses, creating a 5-5 record. Victory on Saturday will secure his first two-fight win streak in the franchise.

Andrei Arlovski was once the UFC Heavyweight champion – back in 2005 – and defended his belt successfully twice. The former champion is enjoying a career revitalization at 43.

The Belarusian has won five of his previous six fights inside the Octagon. His only loss in the last two years was inflicted by the now top ten ranked Tom Aspinall. His most recent victory came in a close fight against Jared Vanderaa at UFC 271.

The 43-year-old is ten years old than Collier but has a wealth of experience to go with those extra years. The pair are the same height and have a similar reach. A win for Arlovski will see him break into the top 15 of the division for the second time in his career.

Andre Fili vs. Joanderson Brito – UFC Fight Odds

This featherweight bout is a tale of two fighters that need to get back on the right track. Andre Fili was disqualified in his last fight against Daniel Pineda due to an accidental eye poke. Brito had his debut fight against Bill Algeo in January but lost via decision.

Andre Fili has won just two of his last five fights – the American lost to Sodiq Yusuff and rising star Bryce Michell in 2020. However, he enters as the favorite against Brito, though, with a three-inch height edge alongside a two-inch reach advantage.

The 31-year-old has 30 professional bouts to his name – 14 more than his younger opponent. He could undoubtedly feel the pressure to perform this time around, but bookmakers think he can pull it off, with a moneyline of -295 set.

Joanderson Brito found his home at the UFC with a win against Diego Lopes in the finale of Dana White’s Contender Series 5. Therefore, Brito will be eager to prove he belongs in this echelon of fighters following his rocky debut loss.

Before joining the UFC, the Brazilian hadn’t lost a fight since 2015 in other championships. “Tubarao” will need to overcome a slight reach hindrance but has shown that he is more than capable of upsetting the odds.

All of Brito’s professional wins have come from either KO/TKO or Submissions. With seven of his twelve wins coming in just the first round. While he might be an underdog, you cannot count him out due to his nervy debut performance.

Jared Gordon vs. Grant Dawson – UFC Fight Odds

Jared Gordon and Grant Dawson are set to go three rounds in this featherweight bout. Dawson was initially due to face Rafael Alves, but Gordon stepped in at a month’s notice when he withdrew.

Gordon is on a three-fight UFC win streak and even competed in the iKon FC in January, leveraging a decision victory over Aaron Highbaugh.

The former Cage Fury Featherweight Champion is a slight underdog to win against Dawson. He will have to overcome a reach impediment.

The New Yorker will have to weather the storm of his opponent’s 1.3 submission attempts per 15 minutes.

Grant Dawson has yet to lose in the UFC. Since making his debut in March 2019, the Nebraskan has five wins and a draw against Ricky Glenn in his last fight in October 2021.

Dawson is the taller fighter and carries a four-inch reach over Gordon. The 28-year-old also has plenty of jiu-jitsu skills, with 11 of his wins coming from submissions.

The rising star made his way to the UFC via Dana’s Whites Contender series. He is now on the cusp of breaking into the stacked lightweight rankings.

This fight promises to be one of the best on this Fight Night card. Both fighters are extremely tough and have plenty of talent.

Darren Elkins vs. Tristan Connelly – UFC Fight Odds

This is an intriguing newcomer vs. veteran featherweight matchup. Both fighters are coming off the back of losses in their last matchups and will be eager to get back on track.

Elkins was riding a two-fight win streak until he met Cub Swanson in December. The American lost after suffering a brutal knockout in just the first round.

“The Damage” is surprisingly the favorite to win against Connelly, despite losing five of his last seven UFC bouts. The Indianan will have a 3-inch reach advantage on his side as well as 15 more professional fights.

Tristan Connelly made an impressive debut with a unanimous decision win against Michel Pereira back in September 2019. However, he last fought Pat Sabatini at UFC 261, where he lost despite being the overwhelming favorite.

Both Elkins and Connelly have proven to be able to take three rounds at a high work rate. They are very durable fighters, and this is about as even as it gets, so make sure you don’t miss this fight.

Gerald Meerschaert vs. Krzysztof Jotko – UFC Fight Odds

This middleweight matchup features one of the most dangerous submission experts in the UFC, Gerald Meerschaert, and the technically sound Krzysztof Jotko, who has taken his last five fights the distance, winning four.

You might remember Meerschaert from his first-round, single-punch KO loss against prodigy Khamzat Chimaev. However, since then, the American has stayed in contention with three submission victories over Fabinski, Muradov, and Stoltzfus.

GM3 has 48 professional fights and lands 2.42 takedowns with 2.0 submission attempts per 15 minutes – this towers above his opponent’s averages – so there’s no doubt he will want to take this fight to the floor.

Jotko has only ever had one KO/TKO win in the UFC. He is a fighter that goes the distance and wins his bouts with precision striking and powerful wrestling.

The Polack is well-versed in all departments of martial arts, so he can take this fight wherever Meerschaert wants to take it. The 32-year-old is a couple of years younger than GM3 and is 1-0 against shared opposition. So understandably, he is the slight favorite to win.
