It’s now a three-way race to the Stanley Cup between Colorado Avalanche (+350), Florida Panthers (+575), and Calgary Flames (+750). Vegas oddsmakers have had Colorado as the frontrunner all season, but could last year’s winner Tampa Bay Lightning upset the odds?

Although the Lighting are behind the pace, don’t rule out their chances just yet. You can currently find odds of +1100 for them to take home the cup.

Colorado has dominated this season with a .767 percentage, 112 points, and 53 wins. Breaking the franchise records in the hunt for their third time lifting the Stanley Cup and first since 2001.

The Avs are having one hell of a season, making it to the 70, 80, 90, and 100-points mark first this season. They also won the race to claim 30, 40, and 50 wins after a slow start.

The Avs Defenseman Cale Makar has scored a franchise-record number of goals, finding the net 26 times so far. He is now the clear Norris Trophy favorite, with Nathan MacKinnon being a serious contender for the Hart Trophy.

The Atlantic Division has the next nearest contenders in the shape of the Florida Panthers. Leading the way in the East, they are +575 and second favorites.

Florida In Contention

The last time the Panthers prowled to the playoffs, they lost to the Avalanche. That was back in 1996, but we could see this epic re-match in the finals a quarter of a century later.

While Florida has managed to score more than the favorites this season – 4.14 goals per game, compared to 3.84, Florida has had some problems tending goal and allowed a total of 2.90 GPFG. This is partly due to their top-ranked defenseman Aaron Ekblad being injured.

The Bruins Path of Destruction

The Bruins can be hit or miss, but this season they have managed to best Tampa Bay twice. Boston is thin on defense, with hopes lying almost solely on rookie goalie Jeremy Swayman.

They could make it deep into the playoffs though, with their fate lying on where they fall in the playoff bracket. If things remain the way they are, the Bruins will face off with the Hurricanes, who have proven to be their nemesis with zero wins over three clashes.

If they pass the first round, they will either face the Lightning or the Leafs. They haven’t managed to blow past the Leafs in the playoffs for over 70 years, whereas they have faired well against Tampa.

Big Apple Longshots

The New York Rangers have Igor Shesterkin – a top contender for the Vezina Trophy. He’s the kind of goalie that can single-handedly win the playoffs. On top of this superstar, NY has Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad, who are extremely dynamic in the offense, and top-ranking Chris Kreider, who has already surpassed 50 goals this season.

Keep an eye on the latest NHL odds to see what price you can get on the Rangers bringing home their first Stanley Cup since 1994.
