Josh Allen New Favorite or NFL MVP 2021-22
There’s a new favorite to win the 2021-22 NFL MVP for the regular season, with Buffalo Bills’s QB Josh Allen now the market leader with the Bovada Sportsbook at +450.
Allen became favorite after helping the Bills gain revenge for their loss in last season’s AFC Championship game as he led his team to a 38-20 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 25-year-old Allen impressed against the Chiefs with 315 yards and three touchdown passes and also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown. By contrast, it was something of a nightmare game for Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs, as he had two interceptions and a late fumble that ended any hope of a rally from Kansas City.
Those two Mahomes’ interceptions took him to six for the season through Week 5. He threw six throughout all of last season.
The win sees Buffalo go 4-1 for the season and leaves them in charge at the top of the AFC East.

It was a defeat that left the Chiefs nursing a second straight loss at home and leaves them with a 2-3 record for the season and now propping up the AFC West. It also means that the 26-year-old Mahomes, the favorite to win the NFL MVP award going into the new season, continues to drift in the market. He can now be backed at odds of +1200.
As things stand, the latest NFL betting lines have Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals is just behind Allen in the market for NFL MVP at odds of +500. The Cardinals are 5-0 for the season and remain the only unbeaten team in the league following their 17-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Murray secured the victory over the 49ers with a nine-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins with five minutes and 13 seconds remaining.
There’s still plenty of time left for a number more twists and turns in the betting, so there’s sure to be some value for those looking at possible wagers.
