Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has become the third player to become the favorite (at -125 with Bovada) to sign for the 49ers in this year’s NFL Draft.
Fields overtook Mac Jones to become the new favorite on the Vegas sportsbooks lines. Mac Jones’ betting odds are now out to +120.
Tide Has Turned
Sports betting fans were certain that Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Mac Jones was going to be the 3rd pick this year. Now bettors are equally convinced that it will be the Ohio State Buckeyes Justin Fields who will be called 3rd by the San Francisco 49ers on draft night.
The NFL Draft is being televised live by ESPN and will be broadcast on April 29 at 8pm ET.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan went to see Mac Jones do his stuff on the second pro day where Fields was also in action at the same time. Since they chose to watch Mac Jones, the betting market flip-flopped as bettors thought they were homing in on Jones.
It was later explained by Shanahan who stated that it was their last chance to see Jones whereas they would have another opportunity to see Fields at another pro day allowing them to assess both QB prospects.
On Monday Shanahan and General Manager John Lynch will be heading to another pro day for North Dakota State QB Trey Lance who is currently sitting third at +350 in the NFL Draft betting odds to go at #3 pick.
