NFL MVP betting odds and lines

Aaron Rodgers has surpassed Tom Brady as the new favorite to win the NFL MVP Award in 2021-22.

Brady had a dismal performance in the Buccaneers’ defeat to the Saints, whilst Rodgers led the Packers to a tight 30-31 victory over the Ravens. Will this year’s MVP story have more twists and turns, or will Rodgers’ fairy-tale last season with Green Bay become a reality?

Saints Stop Brady

Few anticipated Brady to be one of the favourites this late in the season after entering with +1300 NFL MVP odds at most US online sportsbooks. He, on the other hand, disproved his critics by dominating the passing metrics and setting NFL records for passing touchdowns, passing yards, attempts, and completions.

The GOAT Tom Brady was a +150 favourite to win the MVP after Week 14 thanks to his consistent success. Yet, for the third time since joining the Bucs last season, the Saints delivered him a reality check in Week 15 by keeping him out of the end zone. As a result of his loss, he is now the second-favorite after Aaron Rodgers.

It was the same old tale for the Bucs against the Saints, as Brady and company were unable to break through their tough defence, culminating in their fourth straight loss to New Orleans (0-9). During that time, Brady has yet to throw a touchdown pass against the Saints on their home ground. Tampa Bay’s march to their first NFL South title in 14 years was slowed by this setback.

The Buccaneers, on the other hand, should not worry since they have a nice schedule ahead of them. The Buccaneers should be able to defeat the now-defunct Carolina Panthers and previous division opponent New York Jets to claim the division title.
